W Ravello złapaliśmy autobus do Salerno, z którego następnie mieliśmy bezpośredni pociąg do Neapolu, stanowiącego ostatni punkt na trasie naszej podróży po Kampanii. Po drodze do Salerno przejeżdżaliśmy przez kilka naprawdę urokliwych miasteczek.
In Ravello we caught a bus to Salerno, from which we then had a direct train to Naples, which was the last point on our tour of Campania. On the way to Salerno we passed through some really charming towns.

Gdy tylko dotarliśmy do Neapolu zameldowaliśmy się w znajdującym się niedaleko dworca hotelu
Bassetto, który szczerze polecamy za lokalizację, czystość oraz cenę. Następnie udaliśmy się na dworzec, gdzie kupiliśmy dobowe bilety na komunikację miejską. Niestety jedna z linii metra chwilowo przez dwie godziny była wyłączona z użytku. Skorzystaliśmy z drugiej i zrobiliśmy nieco intuicyjny spacer po mieście w kierunku Toledo. To właśnie tutaj znajduje się najpiękniejsza stacja metra neapolitańskiego metra. Zresztą zobaczcie sami.
As soon as we arrived in Naples we checked into a hotel Bassetto near the train station, which we sincerely recommend for its location, cleanliness and price. We then headed to the train station, where we bought daily tickets for public transportation. Unfortunately, one of the subway lines was temporarily out of service for two hours. We took advantage of the other one and did a somewhat intuitive walk around the city towards Toledo. It is here that the most beautiful station of the Neapolitan metro is located. Większość dnia spędziliśmy chodząc różnymi ulicami Neapolu, pomiędzy, którymi można zobaczyć charakterysytyczne , suszące się pomiędzy budynkami pranie. Neapol, moim zdaniem, ma niepowtarzalną energię. Jest miastem, które albo się kocha, albo nienawidzi. Jest zdecydowanie bardzo głośne, chaotyczne, zaśmiecone i jedyne w swoim rodzaju. Mimo to ( to moja druga w życiu wizyta w tym mieście) mam do niego jakąś taką słabość. Po drodze postanowiliśmy kupić lokalną pizzę, którą zjedliśmy na niewielkim placu w centrum.
We spent most of the day walking the various streets of Naples, between which you can see the characteristic, drying laundry between buildings. Naples, in my opinion, has a unique energy. It is a city that you either love or hate. It is definitely very noisy, chaotic, littered and unique. Despite this all negative things ( this is my second visit to this city in my life) I somehow have such a weakness for this city. On the way there, we decided to buy a local pizza, which we ate in a small square in the center.
Gdy dotarliśmy do Toledo, postanowiliśmy zagłębić się w uliczki jednej z najbardziej znanych dzielnic Neapolu, czyli Quartieri Spagnioli. Znajduje się tutaj wiele restauracji, kawiarni oraz lodziarni. Wszystkie umieszczone są pomiędzy naprawdę wąskimi uliczkami rozciągającymi się pomiędzy via Toledo a Corso Vittorio Emanuele. Początki Quartieri Spagnoli sięgają XVI wieku, i to właśnie tutaj ulokowane zostały oddziały wojsk hiszpańskich. Dzielnica wąskich uliczek z małymi mieszkaniami służyła wówczas głównie do spania. Z upływem czasu, te słabo oświetlone uliczki stały się idealnym miejscem dla rozwoju przestępczości i kojarzono je głównie z mafią, przestępczością oraz prostytucją. w tej chwili dzielnica ulega ciągłej zmianie i dziś jak pisałam powyżej znajduje się tu sporo trattorii, restauracji a także miejsc noclegowych dla turystów. W Neapolu w sposób szczególny widać miłość jego mieszkańców do jednego z największych piłkarzy świata - Diego Maradony. W Quartieri Spagnoli niemal w każdej uliczce znajdziecie poświęcony mu ołtarzyk czy mural.
When we arrived in Toledo, we decided to go into the streets of one of Naples' most famous neighborhoods, the Quartieri Spagnioli. Here you can find many restaurants, cafes and ice cream. They are all nestled between really narrow streets stretching between via Toledo and Corso Vittorio Emanuele. The origins of the Quartieri Spagnoli date back to the 16th century, and exactly here that Spanish troops have been located. At the time, the district of narrow streets with small apartments was mainly used for sleeping. As time passed, these dark streets became an ideal place for crime to thrive and were mainly associated with the Mafia, crime and prostitution. Nowadays, the district is undergoing constant change and today, as I wrote above, there are quite a few trattorias, restaurants and also tourist accommodations. The love of its residents for one of the world's greatest soccer players, Diego Maradona, is particularly evident in Naples. In Quartieri Spagnoli you will find an altar or mural dedicated to him in almost every street.
Następnie udaliśmy się do Galerii Umberta I, w której znajduje się pasaż handlowy. Galeria ta była oczywiście wzorowana na Galerii Wiktora Emanuela W Mediolanie. Na jej terenie znajdują się liczne sklepy, kawiarnie oraz biura. Jest ona zdecydowanie jednym z symboli współczesnego Neapolu i warto do niej zajrzeć w celu samego jej obejrzenia.
Then we went to Galeria Umberta I, where there is a shopping arcade. This gallery was, of course, modeled on the Victor Emmanuel Gallery in Milan. On its premises there are numerous shops, cafes and offices. It is definitely one of the symbols of modern Naples and it is worth visiting just to see it.
Po zwiedzeniu Galerii udaliśmy się na Piazza del Plebiscito. To właśnie tutaj znajduje się między innymi Zamek Królewski a także XIX-wieczny kościół San Francesco di Paola zaprojektowany na wzór rzymskiego Panteonu. Po czym udaliśmy się w stronę wybrzeża, gdzie z daleka można podziwiać między innymi słynny Wezuwiusz.
After visiting the Gallery, we headed to Piazza del Plebiscito. It's here that you'll find, among other things, the Royal Castle and also the 19th-century church of San Francesco di Paola, designed on the model of the Roman Pantheon. Afterwards, we headed toward the coast, where you can admire, among other things, the famous Vesuvius from afar.
Gdy zaczęło się ściemniać udaliśmy się z powrotem pieszo do Qurtieri Spagnoli, gdzie zjedliśmy naszą ostatnią przed wylotem kolację. Po drodze natomiast, w jednej z "gelaterii", postanowiliśmy skosztować lokalnych lodów.
As it began to get darker we went back on foot to Qurtieri Spagnoli, where we had our last dinner before flying. On the way, however, we decided to enjoy some local ice cream at one of the italian gelaterias.
The next day, before afternoon, we went to the airport, where we had the return flight to Wroclaw.
