Travels/ podróże - City break - Gdańsk

Pod koniec lutego zrobiliśmy sobie króciutki, weekendowy wypad do Gdańska. Naszym głównym celem było zwiedzenie pewnej wystawy ( o tym opowiem w kolejnych wpisach), ale korzystając z okazji, iż tutaj jesteśmy postanowiliśmy także zobaczyć pewien budynek, który był od dawna na mojej architektonicznej liście. Oczywiście, mimo naprawdę niesprzyjających warunków pogodowych zwiedziliśmy także starą część miasta, którą oboje bardzo lubimy. To właśnie tutaj oprócz całej gamy kolorowych kamieniczek, podziwiać możecie słynnego Żurawia czy Fontanę Neptuna.

Do samego Gdańska dojechaliśmy pociągiem - na szczęście pociąg przyjechał na czas :-)

At the end of February we made a short weekend trip to Gdansk. Our main goal was to visit a certain exhibition ( I will tell you more about that in future posts), but taking the opportunity of being here we also decided to see a certain building that had been on my architectural list for a long time. Of course, despite really inclement weather conditions we also visited the old part of the city, which we both like very much. It is here that, in addition to a whole range of colourful townhouses, you can admire the famous Gdansk crane or Neptune's Fountain.

We went to Gdansk by train - fortunately, the train arrived on time :-)

And here we are already taking our first steps in the old part of the city. Then, surprisingly, it was still not raining so much ;-)

Po wystawie wybraliśmy się na obiadokolacje do włoskiej restauracji na Stary Mieście. W drodze powrotnej do hotelu zaczął natomiast ku naszemu zaskoczeniu padać śnieg.

After the exhibition, we went for dinner at an Italian restaurant in the Old Town. On the way back to the hotel, however, it began to snow to our surprise.

Kolejnego dnia, po zjedzeniu pysznego śniadanka opuściliśmy nasz hotel i w oczekiwaniu na naszego Flixbusa do Poznania zwiedzaliśmy okolicę dworca.

The next day, after eating a delicious breakfast, we left our hotel and explored the station area while waiting for our Flixbus to Poznan.
