A body found in a lake in Cheshire has been formally identified as missing mother-of-three Rachel Booth. The 38-year-old from Barnton, near Northwich, had been missing since the early hours of Saturday morning.
Search teams recovered the body from a lake in Oakmere on Monday. Cheshire Police confirmed the formal identification on Tuesday morning, with a spokeswoman saying Ms Booth's family continue to receive support from specialist officers.
Last seen on CCTV
Ms Booth was last seen at a garage in Sandiway at 3.50am on Saturday, where CCTV footage captured her entering the store. She was reported missing in the early hours of the same day.
Police said on Monday they do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death. A file will now be prepared for the coroner as part of standard procedures.
Water park closure
Wild Shore Delamere water park was closed over the weekend whilst search operations took place in the area. The searches were conducted next to Delamere Lake holiday park.
